Approving EPCS Requests to Send Controlled Prescriptions

Modified on Thu, 23 Jun, 2022 at 2:24 PM

*Prescribers will not be able to send controlled prescriptions until this step has been completed.

When a new prescriber is added to ScriptSure, an administrator at the practice must login to approve their EPCS request. This will enable the prescriber to send controlled prescriptions.  (The approval is only necessary one time per prescriber.)

If only one user has been added to the account, a second user must be added as an administrator to approve the prescriber's EPCS request. For steps to invite a new user, click here

Steps to Approve EPCS Requests

  1. The prescriber will create a ScriptSure account.
  2. An administrator for the practice will login to ScriptSure, receive the message below, and click "REVIEW EPCS REQUESTS".

3. The window below will pop up with a list of all pending EPCS requests. The administrator will click "APPROVE" to approve an individual request or click "APPROVE ALL" to approve all at once.

4. Once this has been completed, the prescriber should be able to send controlled prescriptions as long as they have completed ID proofing with ID.me as well.
