Please note that every pharmacy in the United States that can receive an electronic prescription is pre-programmed into ScriptSure. This includes retail, mail order, specialty, long term care and 24-hour pharmacies. If you encounter difficulty finding a specific pharmacy, follow these steps:
Search Fields:
You can search for pharmacies using any combination of the following fields:
- Pharmacy Name
- Street Address
- City
- State
- ZIP Code (recommended starting point)
- Phone Number
- Fax Number
- NCPDPID
Recommended Steps:
Follow these four steps to locate a pharmacy successfully:
- Begin with the ZIP code.
- If needed, narrow down your search by adding additional information such as the pharmacy name, street address, city, or state.
- Verify the accuracy of your input. If you're unable to find the pharmacy, ensure the data entered is correct.
- If the pharmacy remains elusive, contact them directly for their NCPDPID and search using that information.
Important Notes:
- Patient’s may provide you, and a web search may show, different data for a pharmacy than what the pharmacies have submitted to the electronic network. ScriptSure updates its pharmacy data daily, ensuring the most current and accurate information.
- Take note of the following tips for effective searches:
* Search both abbreviations and non-abbreviations (e.g., St. Louis or Saint Louis).
* Account for variations in address formats (e.g., 123 East Street may also be listed as 123 E Street or 123 E. Street).
* Pay attention to official names and formatting (e.g., "CVS/pharmacy" requires the slash, and "Walgreens Drug Store" distinguishes it from Walmart). - Mail-order facilities, such as Express Scripts, are included in ScriptSure. Search "EXPRESS SCRIPTS" in the pharmacy name field to locate them.
By following these guidelines, you can efficiently navigate ScriptSure's extensive pharmacy network to meet your prescription needs.
