ID.Me: Managing Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) Methods

Modified on Tue, 3 Sep at 1:17 PM

To manage your ID.me profile and settings, whether you've got a new device or just want to update your information, you'll need to log in to the ID.me website.

Changing your settings here will enable you to adjust the method you use to authenticate controlled prescriptions.

Managing Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) Methods:

1. Adding or Removing MFA Methods:

  •  Sign in to your ID.me account.
  • Navigate to the Sign in & Security tab, then Security, to access your MFA settings.
  • Select "Set Up" to add a new MFA method or the trash can icon to delete an existing one.

2. Modifying Existing MFA Methods:

  • If you have multiple MFA methods set up, you can choose to delete one. However, note that you must keep at least one MFA method active for your account.

If you've lost access to your current MFA method, such as losing your phone, please follow the specific instructions outlined here.
