How to Approve EPCS Permissions (FULL ADMINS)

If a DEA is entered for a provider and they intend to prescribe controlled substances, their EPCS Permissions must be approved by a Full Admin user other than the provider themselves. This process is a DEA requirement and must be followed. The person approving can be anyone, including a friend, spouse, family member, etc. It can be a one-time login if desired, and then the user can be inactivated if they will not be using ScriptSure.


How to Approve EPCS Permissions


1. Have the Full Admin user login to the ScriptSure application: app.scriptsure.com

        If you are an iFrame user, access ScriptSure through your EMR and continue to complete the following steps.


2. Review Action Required prompt by clicking "Yes"

3. Click "Approve" on the EPCS request.
