Unfortunately, no. Canadien addresses cannot be added to ScriptSure.
1. NCPDP is an open standard that all dictates the format that all electronic prescriptions must meet. This standard, while it is an open standard that any company can use, the license limitation of it is that it can only be used in the United States. As a result, the standard is only configured for U.S. addresses.
2. Surescripts Network that all the electronic prescriptions in the U.S. send across adopted this standard resulting in all prescriptions must meet the NCPDP guidelines; meaning addresses for practices, patients and pharmacies can ONLY be U.S. addresses. Surescripts network is a U.S. network only.
3. The ScriptSure ERX product is connected to Surescripts network and that connection allows us to electronically send to any U.S. Pharmacy connected to Surescripts network. ScriptSure is not currently sold or available to any non-U.S. countries or territories.

Potential workarounds that may be an option are add the U.S. PRACTICE address as the patient address and then send that prescription to any pharmacy in ScriptSure (on the ERX network). The other option, if wanting to send to a Canadien pharmacy, is to put in the practice's U.S.-address for the patient's address on the prescription and then PRINT the prescription and give to the patient to take to a Canadien pharmacy or you can physically fax that printed prescription to the Canadien pharmacy. With this possible workaround, we are not guaranteeing or asserting that a Canadien pharmacy will fill that printed/faxed prescription; that will be based on the pharmacy policies, ability to validate the prescriber and Canadien law.
