Navigate to Drug Details
- Login to ScriptSure: Visit https://app.scriptsure.com/.
- Search for and select the patient.
- Click "PRESCRIBE NEW DRUG".
Search for and select the medication:
Option a. Enter the medication name in the “Search” field.
Note: You can also filter down the list by using the "FILTER" option.
OR
Option b. Choose one of the Medication Types in the toolbar, or click the icon to browse by type.
Options Under "Drug Details":
Add/Remove Favorite:
a. Click the heart outline icon to add the medication to your favorites list. It will turn solid blue.b. The medication will then appear on your favorite list.
c. You can also remove medications from your favorites list by unclicking the heart icon.
Print Information Sheet
a. To print out an information sheet for the medication, click the printer icon. (This will also allow you to save as a PDF if you prefer to have an electronic copy.)b. After you click the printer icon, a small box will pop up with the medication name. Click the medication name.
c. Print or Save as a PDF:
To print: A box will pop up for the printer settings.Choose your printer and other preferences and click:
To Save as PDF: Select "Save as PDF" for the "Destination" and click "Save".Preview: Partial Example
SET ALLERGY:
- You can set a medication as an allergy for the patient by clicking "Set Allergy".
- The "Allergy Name" will auto-populate, and the other fields are optional. If you choose to leave the optional fields blank, you can go ahead and click "SAVE" at the bottom, and it will add this medication as an allergy for the patient. If you want to add information in the optional fields, complete as many fields as you like and then click "SAVE".
Optional fields:
a. Onset Date
b. End Date
c. Type
d. Reaction
e. Severity
f. Comment - Now that bupropion is listed as an allergy for this patient, a warning pops up when someone tries to write a script for this medication.
SET CURRENT MEDICATION:
If you want to record a medication but not prescribe it, follow the steps below. Any medication that is added as a current medication will be checked for drug interactions against the patient's med list up until any recorded expiration dates.
- First, click "Set Current Medication"
- Choose an option:
a. With drug name only: If you do not know the strength, you can select this option to record the drug name.
b. With detail: Choose this option if you know the strength and would like to record it along with the drug name. Click the dropdown arrow to view more strengths.
- Complete the following fields as needed and click "Save".
a. Expiration: Check the box for "Chronic" if the patient will be on the medication ongoing, or select an expiration date if the medication will be ending. (The drug-to-drug interaction checker will no longer check this drug after the expiration date. If you would like this medication to always be checked for interactions against the patient's list, you can select "Chronic".)
b. Detail (Optional): Here, you can record who prescribed the medication as well as other comments. - Now, the medication will be listed on the patient's list with "No Pharmacy - Save Only" notated under "Pharmacy".
5. Show Drug Information:
- Click the "Settings" button, and choose "SHOW DRUG INFORMATION".Select a category to view detailed information.
- This will bring up a list of drug information categories.
- You can print the drug information by selecting the category on the left that you want to print, and then choosing "Print".
Clear Custom Formats:
- To clear custom formats, click "CLEAR CUSTOM FORMATS".
- Only select this option when you want to clear all custom formats.
Details: Savings Program:
- To find medication coupons, click "Details"
- Then, click the SingleCare Savings Program link.
- This will take you to SingleCare's site where you can search for coupons.
Add Format:
- If the format you need is not on the pre-selected list, click "Add Format".
- This will bring up a full list of options. Select the appropriate strength.
