How to Setup Supervising Users (Admins only can set supervisor permissions)

Depending on the prescriber type, many States, but not all, require a supervisor to be on prescriptions ordered by a Nurse Practitioner, APRN, Physician Assistant, etc.  In States that require a supervisor, a user must be added to ScriptSure and then set to a security level of SUPERVISOR in their user profile. 

NOTES: 

• A PHYSICIAN USER AND A SUPPORTING USER CAN BE SET AS A SUPERVISOR!  
• You can have multiple supervisors on one practice.  
• If you simply want to add a supervisor to select when prescribing, add the user as a SUPPORTING USER (no additional charge for this user type).
• If you have a supervisor who will be prescribing for themselves AND wants to be a supervisor for other prescribers on the account, that user needs to be added as PHYSICIAN USER (fees apply for any added physician users).

The following steps assume the user has already been created/added to ScriptSure. Thereafter a user can be SET as a supervisor and  medical credentials added.

STEPS:

1. Login to ScriptSure as an admin:

2. Click your name in the top right-hand corner.

3. Select "Settings"

4. On the left-hand side, scroll to "Manage Users" and click "Manage User List"

5. Find the user you want to set as a SUPERVISOR and click "Edit" on their row. This will open their profile settings. 

6. Click "Security", select "Supervisor", and then go to TAB 7 - IDENTIFICATION and add the 

Be sure to add the SUPERVISOR's credentials to their profile under tab 7 and click COMPLETE.

How to SELECT a SETUP Supervisor and ADD to Prescriptions

AFTER a supervisor has been setup, any other prescriber can utilize the CURRENT Supervisor setting. The following show the steps to select (add) a supervisor's name and licenses to a prescription order.

1. From the Prescription Preview when preparing a prescription, click "No Supervisor Selected". Then, select the appropriate supervisor from the drop down list.

(Note: The supervisor field is only displayed if your practice already has a supervisor set up. See steps above for details on settings Prescribers as Supervisors.)
