Adding multiple DEA numbers in one ScriptSure Account

Modified on Mon, 15 May 2023 at 01:06 PM

If you have different DEA numbers for different States, here are the steps to use DEA numbers in your account.  Each DEA needs to be registered in ScriptSure (and the electronic network) and assigned to a specific PRACTICE.  The first step is to add the PRACTICE you want to add a second DEA setup to. IMPORTANT NOTE: If you are using ScriptSure within an EMR application, you will need to follow the steps the EMR provides for creating new practices. This article addresses step to create a Practice in ScriptSure if you are using ScriptSure as a standalone application: https://scriptsure.freshdesk.com/a/solutions/articles/69000390962#Practice-Locations

An Admin or the provider themselves can complete these steps.

1. Launch ScriptSure - After logging in, please click on your name located on the top right corner:

2. A pop-up window will appear, click on EDIT PROFILE to change your Settings or if you are an ADMIN you can click SETTINGS.

3. Once done, scroll down to the bottom of the options then click on Manage User List.

4. You will then see all the names of the users within your practice. Select the user you who you need to add another DEA number to then click on Edit.

Note: You may have to zoom out your browser's view to see the Edit button located on the very right side of the screen.

5. Click the practices tab in the profile and ADD the provider to any practices that have been created.

6. Then Click on the Service Level.

6. You will see all the practices where the user has been added to. Locate the practice where you need to assign a different DEA number to and click the EDIT button in that block:

7. Update the desired DEA number in the field (appropriate for the state.  You will need to update the State Licenses as well.

Be sure to scroll to the bottom to select the specific service levels for this practice location and then click Complete. NOTE:  The services level in this list OVERRIDE the services set on the Step 8 page.

8. The system will then confirm once the registration is successful.

After this is done, the provider can ERX using the specific credentials.  Please contact support with any issues or questions.
