How to Set a User as an Admin

Modified on Wed, 4 Sep at 5:40 PM

Any established users can be given BASIC and/or FULL Administrator Privileges by an existing FULL administrator on an account.

Basic Administrators: Can adjust practice and user settings, but cannot add, invite, modify or inactivate users or practices.

Full Administrators: Can perform all the functions of a Basic Admin, but CAN also add invite, modify and inactive users and practices.

Note: Simply setting a user type as ADMIN in the user profile does not grant admin privileges. Follow the steps below to accomplish this.

The permission level of ADMIN will be set for ALL practices the user has access to.

Steps to Set an Existing User as Admin:

  • Select "Manage Users & Practices"

  • Select the practice the user is assigned to by clicking "View".

  • Scroll down to the User List, and click "View" at the end of the row that contains the user whose Admin status you need to change to open their user profile.

  • Click the "Edit" button to open the User Information window.

  • Check BASIC and FULL Administrator and click "Save".

Another way to reach the Practice page:

  • Login to ScriptSure: https://app.scriptsure.com/.

  • Click your current practice in the top left corner, click the gear icon, and click "Manage Practice".
