If you have different DEA numbers for different States, here are the steps to use DEA numbers in your account. Each DEA needs to be registered in ScriptSure (and the electronic network) and assigned to a specific PRACTICE. The first step is to add the PRACTICE you want to add a second DEA setup to. If you have multiple licenses and one practice, you will be creating duplicate practices to achieve this.
IMPORTANT NOTE: If you are using ScriptSure within an EMR application, you will need to follow the steps the EMR provides for creating new practices. This article addresses step to create a Practice in ScriptSure if you are using ScriptSure as a standalone application:

An Admin or the provider themselves can complete these steps.
1. Launch ScriptSure - After logging in, please click on your name located on the top right corner:
2. A pop-up window will appear, click on MY PROFILE to change your settings, or if you are an ADMIN, you can click MANAGE USERS & PRACTICES.
3. Once done, click "View" on the practice the user that needs additional licenses added belongs to.
4. You will then see all the names of the users within your practice. Select the user you who you need to add another DEA number to by clicking View.
5. Click the Add Practice button to add the provider to any practices that have been created.
6. Scroll to the bottom of the user profile and click the pencil icon under the SPI column for the appropriate practice you are adding the DEA Number to.
6. Check the Override Identification checkbox and update the desired DEA Number in the appropriate field. You will need to update the state licenses as well. Then click Register and Save.
Be sure to scroll to the bottom to select the specific service levels for this practice location before clicking Register and Save.
8. The system will then confirm once the registration is successful. Click Close.
After this is done, the provider can ERX using the specific credentials. Please contact support with any issues or questions.
