Patient Search

  • Basic Search

You can search for a patient from the Home Screen in ScriptSure using the Find Patient search box. This field accepts a patient’s first name, last name, or Chart ID/Medical Record Number.

Note: If ScriptSure is integrated with your EMR, you can also search for and select a patient using your EMR’s search screens. The selected patient will then appear within the ScriptSure interface.

Tip: When searching for a patient, enter one field at a time—for example, search by first name, last name, or Chart ID/MRN, not a combination.
If you're looking for John Smith, type "John" or "Smith" into the search box, not both together.

If you’re unable to find a patient but are certain they exist in the system, refer to the Advanced Search section of this article to search using other fields such as Date of Birth, ZIP Code, Phone Number, and more.

Steps to Search for a Patient:

    1. From the Home Screen, search for the patient last name, first or chart ID/MRN:

    2. The search results appear under the search box.  Review the demographics and SELECT the desired patient by clicking on the row for that patient:

    Advanced Patient Search

If you need to search for a patient using criteria other than first name, last name, or Chart ID/Medical Record Number, click the Advanced Search button on the Home Screen.

This feature allows you to search using additional filters such as:

    • Removed Patients

    • Social Security Number

    • ZIP Code

    • Phone Number

    • Practice

    • Status

    • Date of Birth

These filters help you narrow down your search when more specific patient information is needed.

    Advanced Patient Search Options:

    1. From the Home Screen, click the three vertical dots next to the search bar, and select Advanced Search from the dropdown:
    2. This will show the ADVANCED search fields.  Enter the desired field data and click Search.

NOTE:  If you are searching for patients that have been removed from the search results, you can click the INCLUDE REMOVED PATIENTS slider to search those patients.
